Greg Bowman I am a PhD student in Biophysics, working in Vijay Pande's lab. Protein folding is of significant biophysical and biomedical interest due to its role in protein misfolding diseases like Alzheimer's. I employ a combination of atomistic molecular dynamics simulations and Markov state models (MSMs) to understand protein folding. In particular, I am the primary developer of the MSMBuilder package, which allows the automated construction and analysis of MSMs. I have used this software to shed light on how small proteins like the villin headpiece fold and am now working on larger, more complex systems. Through the Simbios program, I have made my software publicly available at https://simtk.org/home/msmbuilder/. E-mail: gbowman@stanford.edu |
