Alain Laederach Alain Laederach is a post-doctoral fellow in the department of
Genetics at Stanford University working in the Russ Altman’s lab. His primary research interests are in using computational methodology to understand and predict biomolecular structure and dynamics. He is currently focusing on modeling RNA structure and the process of RNA folding. More specifically, he is interested in using limited experimental information to generate models of RNA folding intermediates and in determining the information content of these experimental results. He holds a Bachelors of Science from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne, and a Ph.D. from Iowa State University. He is the recipient of a Damon Runyan Cancer Research foundation fellowship.
