Tina Morrison Tina Morrison worked in the Cardiovascular Biomechanics Research Lab developing and applying methods to quantify in vivo deformations of normal and diseased thoracic aortas using cardiac-gated CT imaging data. The goal was to understand the biomechnical environment and progression of disease in the aorta. For her research on “Understanding the Influence of Biomechanical Forces on Normal and Aneurysmal Thoracic Aortic Function,” Tina was awarded an American Heart Association Post Doctoral Fellowship in May 2008. Tina received her Ph.D. from Cornell University in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and is now in the Medical Device Fellowship Program at the Food and Drug Administration as a lead engineer for pre-market approval of stent-grafts, and medical image consultant for the animal testing laboratory. |
