Title: Report on the PSB 2010 session & discussion on "Multi-Resolution Modeling of Biological Macromolecules"

Abstract:
Simbios co-sponsored a session at PSB 2010 called "Multi-Resolution Modeling of Biological Macromolecules." I and fellow Simbios postdoc Xuhui Huang were two of five co-chairs. I will introduce the session, recap some of the presented papers, and then list some of the questions that were debated at our panel. I will give my point of view on these and then turn it into an open discussion. This is therefore less of a talk and more of a public debate on what multi-resolution modeling means and what direction it's taking.
